Position Name: Systems Engineer SE Level III
Location (City/State/Zip Code): Colorado Springs CO
Barnett Engineering & Signaling Laboratories LLC (BESL) is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to take on Systems Engineering (Level III) responsibilities in support of mission system design implementation and maintenance of SATCOM systems. Key responsibilities include providing SATCOM engineering electromagnetic interference (EMI) mitigation and geolocation services. This initiative aims to optimize satellite communications enhance infrastructure and reduce electromagnetic interference to ensure reliable secure and efficient operations. Other duties for this position include lifecycle support troubleshooting and inspections.

Possess a firm understanding of satellite network architectures and design concepts
Experience performing link budget analysis and frequency planning
Ability to integrate and test SATCOM terminals modems ground station equipment
Possess a firm understanding of troubleshooting and diagnostics techniques
Possess a firm understanding of radio frequency and signal flow
Must have experience and familiarity in SATCOM or space electromagnetic warfare
Possess experience in the detection analysis and mitigation of RF interference
Possess experience in geolocation of interference using advanced signal processing techniques to coordinate interference resolution and recommend countermeasures
Experience with Agile and/or DevOps project management styles.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be a U.S. citizen
Must possess or able to achieve and maintain a DOD Security clearance.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with MBSE software or certification
Experience in product development a plus (preferably in military application environment).
Able to present reports and presentations in a clear articulate and concise manner.
Familiarity with test equipment (Spectrum Analyzers Power Meters Multimeters etc.
Education/Certifications:
A Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline is strongly preferred or equivalent technical education and experience 68 years related experience)
DoD 8140 CWQP (Security) equivalent certification within 6 months of employment
Other: Work will be performed onsite.
Pay Data (Range): $100000. $135000.
Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act Statement:
BESL complies with Colorados Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary range for this particular effort in Colorado is approximately $100000 $135000.
