For our largest European production site in Wesseling/ Knapsack near Cologne we are looking for a qualified
(Senior) Sourcing Specialist (m/f/d)
Raw Material Procurement APS Europe
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Executes the sourcing process and is able to effectively source raw materials in such a manner that internal customer needs are addressed.
- Understands strategies for assigned categories and proactively drives initiatives to meet sourcing objectives.
- Preparation of sourcing initiatives through data modeling and analysis and of change management and implementation of new processes.
- Works collaboratively with stakeholders to understand demands and prepare demand forecasts
- Performs spend analysis by collecting and analyzing spend data
- Ensures high ethical and financial control compliance standards are met by the organization.
- Maximizes revenue share and controls cost by responding to audits surveys or other information requests from internal and external sources.
- Works collaboratively with the stakeholders in the implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Demonstrates the initiative to challenge inefficiencies process deviations and strategy deviations.
- Identifies and select suppliers who prioritize sustainability practices contribution to our companys commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (Masters degree is a plus)
- Experience in Business related positions required
- Several or first years of chemical or related industry experience and knowledge related to purchasing and materials management is preferred
- Good MSOffice skills SAP of advantage
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a global team
- Good English skills required
- Negotiations and contract experience preferred
