The Company
Our client is a privately owned Brisbane based construction and development company. They have a diverse project portfolio consisting of multi residential (both medium rise and townhouses) commercial and industrial up to $100m in project value. They operate as a developer builder and traditional principal building contractor.
The Role
Operations Manager In what is an exciting time for the business a brandnew role has been created that will report in to the three Directors. As the Operations Manager and based out of their head office you will be responsible for;
Design Management & PreConstruction Managing consultant relationships and driving mutually beneficial commercial and program outcomes through VM and alternative material and design solutions.
Operational Management Having a consistent presence on site to provide mentoring advice and guidance on program and quality.
Performance Management Stay close to your team and understand them as individuals. What motivates them and where they need support. Manage poor performance in line with the businesss expectations.
Leadership Be a genuine leader show up as you expect your staff to and provide inspirational guidance and advice to consistently increase performance.
Systems & Process implementation You will be responsible from bringing systems and processes from a successful Tier 2 principal contracting environment and implementing them into the business. You will ensure there is a new standard that is fine tuned for success.
About you
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Construction Management and have 5 Years experience working as a Project Manager in one of Brisbanes Tier 2 principal building contractors. You will have experience successfully delivering medium to high rise residential projects. You will be humble driven naturally curious and consistently demonstrate a high level of commercial acumen.
Remuneration and Benefits.
There is a salary package of up to $300k depending on your experience.
