Job Description

We are currently looking for an Assistant Account Executive to join our Employee Benefits team.

General Purpose:

Support EB Account Executives in coordination of projects and interfacing with clients and carriers to ensure exceptional customer service.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist Account Executive staff with daily client management issues.
  • Perform account maintenance including updates to client files scanning and attachment of plan documents Benefit Point etc.
  • Assists in the resolution of common account issues i.e. claim policy eligibility and service issues.
  • Request track and upload Schedule As for client 5500 filings.
  • Preparation of Annual Notice packets for clients.
  • Learn benefit and census gathering/sorting for marketing stewardship persona smart view reports.
  • Assists with marketing proposals paperwork and presentation preparation.
  • Revise/Edit and bind presentation materials as needed.
  • Prepare open enrollment materials (C&D benefit guides benefit spot mobile app presentation obtaining carrier collaterals).
  • Develops and maintain positive relationships with insurance carriers and clients.
  • Maintains Benefit Portals e.g. TouchCare Employee Navigator etc.
  • Assist Client and Account Executives utilizing MyWave.
  • Performs other administrative functions as needed by Account Executive staff.

Knowledge/Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an Employee Benefits insurance environment (preferred not required).
  • Obtain your Life & Health License after a predetermined amount of time employed by HUB.
  • 4year college degree a plus.
  • Basic analytical & problemsolving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate Excel Word Outlook Power Point Microsoft.
  • Detailoriented.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Accurate and high attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and with a sense of urgency.
  • Able to work well in a team environment.

While learning and performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to stand for extended periods of time (ie seminars meetings etc.; the employee must be able to possibly occasionally lift and/or move up to 5 pounds (office supplies and paper) and assist in the cleanup/straightening of Conference Room prior to or after EB meetings.

Complexity & Scope:

  • Supports various levels of Account Executive teams and Producers with managing accounts.
  • Manages low complexity account issues.
  • May interface with clients and carriers after obtaining a Life & Health license.

  • Appropriately adhere to required use of HUB systems and ensure data quality contained within.
  • Ensure compliance with all operating controls as spelled out in the HUB Quality Control Procedure Manual

Department Account Management & Service

Required Experience: 12 years of relevant experience

Required Education: Bachelors degree 4year degree)
