Are you ready to lead the charge in Design solutions for novel MEMS sensor packaging solutions Join our team in Burnsville MN where innovation and excellence drive everything we do. Our onsite Micro ElectroMechanical Systems (MEMS) Fabrication is focused on the Manufacturing of MEMS sensors.

As part of the MEMS team you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work with technology development partners to meet optimum design criteria to meet system level requirements.
  • Design solutions for novel MEMS sensor packaging solutions

This position may be eligible for relocation assistance.

What YOU will do:

  • Define product validation and acceptance tests.
  • Define fab process flow to meet the design intent key performance metrics cost and manufacturability
  • Identify gaps and drive initiatives/programs to build margin around structural electrical and reliability performance
  • Partner with NPI Manufacturing Operations and Quality teams to introduce new MEMS products into manufacturing.
  • Support NPI Engineering to generate and update manufacturing documentation for new manufacturing processes
  • Proactively work to evaluate characterize and mitigate risks and fail modes on new processes and products
  • Work with key teams to define and validate specs and to mitigate known and potential yield and quality
  • Support NPI and manufacturing engineers for new product introduction process development and troubleshooting.
  • Identify and drive cost saving opportunities and/or performance improvement.
  • Support current product investigations design and process changes.

What YOU will learn:

In this role you will gain valuable experience in:

  • Application of MEMS technologies in the aerospace industry
  • Novel MEMS solutions related to pressure optical and inertial sensor applications
  • Implementation of new materials and techniques to meet unique performance requirements
  • Derive devicelevel solutions as a part of complex system design

Education and Experience:

Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or in the absence of a degree 6 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Working knowledge and experience of the Fab Processes and Flow
  • Experience with CREO/ Solid Works
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen permanent resident or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here.

The salary range for this role is 66000 USD 130000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
