Warehouse Specialist
PURPOSE: To properly pick stage and load customer orders for timely delivery and to receive raw materials used in manufacturing process and communicate progress of shipping and receiving.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Filling capping and labeling sample containers.
- Pick and package sample orders and/or ground shipments for shipment via Parcel Service or Truck Line.
- Ship packages through the Parcel Service Computer Systems
- Print ondemand labels for samples and certain products
- Prepare international shipments
- Operate and maintain forklift
- Maintain finished goods inventory in proper bin locations
- Pick customer orders using WMS (Warehouse Management System)
- Load customer orders per Bill of Lading on trailers
- Offload incoming materials from trucks
- Performing cycle counts withWMS (Warehouse Management System)
- Work in other work centers associated with production as needed
- Offload incoming materials from trucks as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned if qualified to meet business demands.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Must be proficient in the operation of forklift.
- Must know to configure a throw pallet.
- Must know of all bin locations.
- Knowledgeable of DOT hazardous materials regulations
- Obtain DOT Hazmat and IATA Hazmat certifications
- Knowledge of how much product/weight can fit in a trailer.
- Must be able to operate dock plates.
- Understand proper block/ brace procedures.
- Must be selfmotivated and able to keep up with production demands.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and interact well with a variety of personalities within a production environment.
- Must be flexible and willing to help others when requested.
- Must be able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Due to the nature of our business the ability to understand read and write English fluently is required for safety reasons.
- Must be able to interact well with a variety of personalities within a production/manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Must display initiative and independent judgment.

- Forklift
- Pallet jack
- Floor scales
- Bonding & grounding
- Miscellaneous hand tools

WORKING CONDITION & ENVIRONMENT
This position requires exposure to various chemicals in a production environment. Exposure to dust vapors gases chemicals is probable and personal protective equipment is required.
Plant is not an air conditioned environment but is equipped with adequate air flow handling equipment and ventilation system. Plant is heated during the winter months.

EDUCATION CERTIFICATION
High school diploma or its equivalent. Forklift certification.
Warehouse specialist and shipping
High School Diploma or equal
Experience in warehouse or logistics environments is preferred
Experience with operating warehouse equipment like forklifts pallet jacks dock plates ect.
Must be able to communicate effectively and interact well with a variety of personalities within the Distribution Center and production plant.
