Eurasia Group is hiring a Senior Analyst for our Energy Resources and Climate practice located in our Washington DC or New York office. The Senior Analyst will work directly with the Managing Director and support the following activities:
Lead analyst on US and Canadian energy/climate policy; secondary analyst on global climate/renewable/sustainability issues; potential lead analyst on Canada macro politics
Direct support for MD and client services team on US and Canadian energy/natural resources clients including project management maintaining client relationships through regular briefings and contact mobilizing Eurasia Group resources to serve client needs
Extensive networking to support Eurasia Group client/brand development and industry/government/academic network of experts
Support internal practice management including coordination with Eurasia Group finance HR IT and operations teams
Qualifications for the role include:
510 years experience in energy policy analysis in an industry consulting or government role
Demonstrable technical and financial knowledge of oil/gas and natural resources industry in North America
Strong writing and analytical skills candidates will be required to take a writing test
Network of industry and government relationships in the North American energy sector
Masters degree in international relations public policy political science or economics
Ability to travel globally up to 50 of the time depending on client needs
Ability to manage broad and diverse research and client portfolio
Spanish or French language a plus
