Summary:
The Athletic Director fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by assisting the administration in the development of an athletic program to promote student health athletic skill and safety. The Athletic Director has decision making responsibilities within essential job functions in keeping with school policies.
Description:
Seeking a Christian role model for studentathletes coaches and parents. The Athletic Director will serve as the administrator in charge of Providence Catholic Schools athletic programs grades 6 through 12.
Seeking a highly energetic motivated and innovative professional who is able to develop and grow the ministry through athletics on the campus.
Providence Athletics includes all TAPPS and AIAL programs in addition to dance and bowling teams.
The Athletic Director responsibilities will include but are not limited to supervision of eligibility in both TAPPS and AIAL coordinating coaches meetings developing studentathlete leaders supervision of concessions/gate parent volunteers scheduling games coordinating athletic awards ceremonies and supervision of athletic training.
This position also includes overseeing Athletics fundraising events and income revenue.
Teaching responsibilities may include: physical education sports medicine and health technology.
Other courses may be taught depending on teacher certification.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- Teachers must hold a bachelors degree in the area they are assigned to teach as well as 12 education hours.
- Technology proficiency is required of directors and teachers who will be integrating technology into the content areas
- Additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
