The role
As the Sexual Line Team Leader you will lead coach and mentor a dedicated team of Specialist Counsellors and Response & Connection Practitioners to deliver efficient and effective support to individuals who have been impacted by sexual violence or have been identified as part of the Commission of Inquiry into Forensic DNA Testing across Queensland. In collaboration with the Service Delivery Manager you will also oversee and support the operation of Bellas Sanctuary. Key responsibilities of the role include (but not limited to);
- support the Service Delivery Manager (SDM) and when required the Director of Client Services by reviewing and developing processes procedures and policies to ensure practice delivery meets HSQF requirements.
- demonstrate initiative and draw on existing knowledge skills and experience to lead service delivery in accordance with operational contractual and legislative obligations.
- oversee staff development performance planning and reviews and provide practical support and development and contribute to the identification of training needs.
- foster and maintain positive professional relationships with external stakeholders such as Government Departments and nongovernment organisations.
- attend Bellas Sanctuary to build rapport with current tenants meet and greet the new tenant respond to critical incidents and provide inperson support to the Bellas Sanctuary Worker as required.
Requirements
To be eligible for consideration this position requires clinical experience in at least 1 one of the following areas Domestic family and intimate partner violence sexual violence and abuse child protection and/or residential support or specialist trauma counselling). You must also be registered with ACA PACFA; AASW; or AHPRA
- Tertiary qualifications in the areas of Social Work Behavioural Studies or Psychology are essential. Certifications and/or extensive demonstrated experience in the areas of crisis/risk management and leadership would be considered valuable for success in this role.
- Minimum two 2 years of leadership experience overseeing a service delivery team with demonstrated ability to supervise engage retain and support staff in a way that values diversity is culturally competent and prioritises psychological wellbeing.
- Experience in traumainformed counselling and working with victimsurvivors of domestic family and sexual violence highly desirable.
- Knowledge and understanding of intersectional feminist practice and other relevant practice frameworks used to respond to the gendered nature of violence against women and children.
- Demonstrate knowledge and analysis of the effects causes and dynamics of domestic family and sexual violence.
- Confident and effective interpersonal communication and engagement/consultation skills.
- Established resilient and courageous leadership values to achieve great impact through a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
- Experience in providing supportive and culturally safe spaces for diverse groups including First Nations peoples individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds people with a diagnosed disability and members of the LGBTQI community.
- Demonstrated ability to build maintain and enhance relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including both sector and nonsector partners.
- Confident IT and telephone communication skills with a proven ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- Significant demonstrated ability to manage complex and competing demands.
- Willingness to attend Bellas Sanctuary (Northern GoldCoast QLD location) when required.
Remuneration
- SCHADS Award Level 6 $54.38 $56.78p/hr). Pay point is dependent on qualifications and level of relevant experience.
- 11.5 super.
