Job Description

Summary

Opportunity for a Human Resources Manager to join our team. The Manager II Human Resources will oversee and manage our West Chester HR operations ensuring alignment with the companys strategic goals. This role involves leading a team of HR professionals developing and implementing HR policies and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HR management excellent leadership skills and a deep understanding of HR best practices.

What Youll Do

Along with those identified below other duties may be assigned.

  • Leadership and Management:Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Policy Development:Develop implement and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and alignment with company objectives.
  • Employee Relations:Manage employee relations issues including conflict resolution disciplinary actions and performance management.
  • Recruitment and Retention:Work with the Talent Acquisition team on the recruitment process which includes submitting job requisitions interviewing and onboarding. Develop strategies to retain top talent and reduce turnover.
  • Training and Development:Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Compensation and Benefits:Administer compensation and benefits programs ensuring they are competitive and aligned with industry standards.
  • Compliance:Ensure compliance with all federal state and local employment laws and regulations.
  • HR Metrics:Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Labor Relations: Oversee the negotiation implementation and ongoing administration of collective bargaining agreements between the company and its trade union.
  • Employee Engagement: Manage the biannual engagement survey program to include participation monitoring communication plans and subsequent creation of focus groups and action plans to address associate feedback
  • Culture and Engagement:Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement through various initiatives and programs.

Qualifications:

  • Education:Bachelors degree in human resources Business Administration or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • Experience:Minimum of 710 years of HR experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Prior experience with negotiating collective bargaining agreements grievance responses is highly preferred.
  • Skills:Strong leadership and interpersonal skills excellent communication abilities and proficiency in HR software and systems.
  • Certifications:Professional HR certification (e.g. SHRMCP SHRMSCP PHR SPHR) is desirable.
