Our client based in Midrand is on a recruitment drive for Cost & Management Accountant to join their financial department on a 3month FTC. Our client is a leading contract manufacturing partner in home and personal care dedicated to innovation sustainability and operational excellence. If you pride yourself on being detailedorientated and analytical Cost and Management Accountant. This role is crucial in analysing production costs enhancing financial efficiency and implementing effective cost controls to drive profitability.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Cost & Financial Analysis
Develop and maintain accurate costing models for raw materials labour and overhead
Monitor and analyse cost variances identifying areas for cost savings
Implement standard costing systems and conduct variance analysis
Provide profitability insights for different product lines and customer contracts
Track and analyse product costs weekly for operational visibility
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist in preparing annual budgets and rolling forecasts
Conduct variance analysis and ensure accuracy in cost estimations
provide financial insights to support operational decisionmaking
Financial & Management Reporting:
Prepare cost reports budget comparisons and margin analysis
Develop dashboards and KPIs to track financial and operational performance
Ensure timely and accurate monthend closing and reporting
ERP & Process Optimization:
Support ERP system implementation and optimization for cost and inventory management
Identify inefficiencies and suggest process improvements
Collaborate with production procurement and finance teams to enhance cost efficiency
Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure adherence to financial regulations internal controls and company policies
participate in internal and external audits by providing cost and financial data
Education & Qualification:
Degree in Accounting Finance or related field
CIMA SAICA SAIPA or ACCA qualification (essential)
5 years in cost and management accounting of which 3 years need to be in a manufacturing / FMCG environment
Strong knowledge of ERP systems cost accounting principles and financial modelling
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in MS Excel and Financial analysis tools
Detail orientated with strong numerical and analytical skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Proactive approach to identifying costsaving opportunities
Strong teamwork and cross functional collaboration skills
