Job Description
Northwest Partners is looking for an Identity Access Management Director whos passionate about developing secure scalable and compliant access systems for a dynamic technology environment. This role will lead identity strategy execution and oversight driving regulatory compliance and aligning access controls with enterprise risk. This role could become a full time role at the end of the contract.
Applicants must be able to work for any US employer without additional work visa sponsorship.
What YOU will do
- Develop and execute an enterprise identity and access management (IAM) strategy in line with business goals and regulatory mandates
- Establish IAM policies standards and procedures including RBAC least privilege and identity federation
- Partner with leadership and compliance teams to prepare for audits reviews and regulatory exams
- Define and report metrics to assess IAM effectiveness
- Oversee IAM operations such as provisioning certification SSO MFA and PAM
- Lead IAM projects including cloud IAM integration and zero-trust implementations
- Manage IAM platform roadmaps (e.g. Active Directory Azure AD Okta SailPoint)
- Supervise and develop a team of IAM professionals across analysis engineering and operations
- Conduct access reviews audits and IAM-related risk assessments
- Collaborate with IT HR cybersecurity and business teams to integrate IAM into core workflows
- Evaluate and implement emerging IAM technologies and automation tools
- Drive support for digital transformation including mobile and online banking platforms
What YOU will bring us
- Bachelors degree in computer science cybersecurity IT or related field
- 7 10 years of IAM or information security experience including 3 5 years in leadership
- Experience deploying SSO MFA PAM in regulated or financial environments
- Knowledge of banking regulations and frameworks such as FDIC OCC FFIEC GLBA SOX NIST ISO
- Proficiency with IAM tools (e.g. Active Directory Azure AD Okta Ping Identity SailPoint)
- Familiarity with authentication protocols (e.g. SAML OAuth OpenID Connect Kerberos)
- Understanding of cloud environments and IAM architecture for AWS Azure
- Scripting or automation experience with Python PowerShell or Java
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Certifications such as CISSP CISM CISA CRISC or CIGE preferred
- Experince with the Banking industry.
