At GEA Wiegand in Ettlingen we develop cuttingedge carbon capture solutions that help industries such as cement steel glass chemicals and bioenergy reduce their carbon footprint. As an R&D Engineer (f/m/d) you will play a key role in advancing carbon capture and CO2 utilization technologies. Youll be part of a dynamic entrepreneurial team working at the forefront of innovation collaborating with dedicated engineers and lab specialists to push the boundaries of whats possible.
Responsibilities / Tasks

Bring your technical expertise creativity and collaborative mindset to an established company with a startup spirit. Your work will directly contribute to the development of breakthrough technologies in a rapidly growing sector shaping a more sustainable future for generations to come.
- Drive technological advancements and integrate them into commercial projects.
- Serve as the inhouse expert for carbon capture technologies supporting colleagues with technical insights.
- Develop and refine inhouse design standards and tools.
- Advance carbon capture process simulation.
- Conduct research manage projects and ensure the costeffectiveness of solutions.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Your Profile
- Degree in process engineering chemical engineering or a related field (PhD is a plus).
- Professional experience in chemical plant design.
- Strong analytical thinking excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a structured and goaloriented work ethic.
- Confident and persuasive in technical discussions.
- Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
