Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detailoriented GASB Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) regulations and preparing accurate financial reports. This role requires a deep understanding of GASB standards excellent analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GASB standards.
- Ensure compliance with all GASB regulations and guidelines.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decisionmaking.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to gather necessary financial information.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial reporting processes.
- Monitor changes in GASB standards and update reporting practices accordingly.
- Provide training and support to staff on GASBrelated matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial reporting preferably within a governmental or public sector environment.
- Strong knowledge of GASB standards and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
