Job Description
St. Augustine School a Blue Ribbon and Top Workplaceand 2024 recipient located in Elkridge Maryland has an opening for a fulltime Middle School Math and PK8th Grade Math Resource Teacher for theschool year. The Middle School Math Teacher will be responsible for the direct supervision and instruction of students. He/she will provide a Catholic education through excellent academic and extracurricular programs that promote leadership achievement and service within the church and community. This is a fulltime benefit eligible 10month teaching position.
Essential Functions
- Follows and maintains knowledge of AoB policies and procedures.
- Implement lesson plans utilizing a variety of techniques to motivate challenge and engage students.
- Plan and execute an instructional program that upholds the values and ideals of the Catholic Church.
- Create an instructional environment conducive to learning that is appealing and organized.
- Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional empathetic and timely manner.
- Maintain high professional standards consistent with the Catholic mission and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Safely and actively supervise students both inside and outside of the classroom.
- Expertly integrate GSuite for Education into a 21stcentury classroom.
- Meet the needs interest and abilities of students in accordance with the curriculum; effective instruction will include differentiated learning.
Position Qualifications
- Degree in Math or Education with a Math Concentration.
- MSDE teacher certification in Education for Math or the desire to obtain this.
- Knowledge curriculum and principles and practices of pedagogy.
- Must be proficient in using a variety of technology during daily lessons as well as to enrich and differentiate instruction.
- Employment is contingent upon acceptable results of state and federal fingerprint background checks completion of VIRTUS Training and completion of all necessary paperwork.
Range: $48000 $53000 Annualized
