Job Description

PERSON SPECIFICATION
NOTES TO JOB APPLICANTS
  1. You must clearly demonstrate on your application form under each question how and to what extent you meet the required criteria as failure to do so may result in you not being shortlisted. You should clearly demonstrate this for both the essential and desirable criteria where relevant.
  2. You must demonstrate how you meet the criteria by the closing date for applications unless the criteria state otherwise.

  4. Shortlisting will be carried out on the basis of the essential criteria set out in Section 1 below using the information provided by you on your application form.

  6. In the event of an excessive number of applications the Selection Panel also reserves the right to apply any desirable criteria asoutlined in Section 3 at shortlisting in which case these will be applied in the order listed. It is important therefore that you also clearly demonstrate on your application form how you meet any desirable criteria.
SECTION 1 ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

The following areessentialcriteria which will initially be measured at the shortlisting stage and whichmay also be further explored during the interview/selection stage.   • Hold GCSE grade A* to C in English and Maths
  • Hold relevant qualifications to be able to deliver ICT Support Manager support in a post primary secondary school in Northern Ireland (these may include A Level/BTEC or a degree in IT or associated subjects.
  • Three years experienceworkinginan administrative and/or IT role.
  • Experience of managing software systems and appbased interfaces to support the operational management of the school system or similar systems.
  • Experience of managing an IT network to support operational requirements of a school or similar organisation.
  • Experience of managing hardware and providing technical support to ensure the effective delivery of IT services.

Responsible for: ICT Support

Job Purpose

The postholder is an ICT specialist with the responsibility for the provision of an efficient and effective ICT support infrastructure within Banbridge High School. He/she will ensure continuity and availability of ICT services throughout the school. The postholder will assist the VicePrincipal and Head of IT in the development and implementation of ICT systems to support all subject departments within the school.

Administer and provide support in the management of the units and its processes in relation to
