The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the position of Sports Field Monitor (NonCareer) in the Parks Recreation and Waterfront Department! In this role you will have the opportunity to monitor competitive sports events in an assigned gymnasium ball field or court. Youll perform routine field preparations gymnasium and outdoor court setup and monitor sidelines for safety during games.

Equivalent to graduation from high school. Must possess sufficient strength and stamina to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Sufficient playing experience in assigned sport to demonstrate an appropriate knowledge of the rules of play is desirable.
Must be able to travel to various locations within and outside the City of Berkeley to meet the program needs and to fulfill the job responsibilities. When driving on City business the incumbent is required to maintain a valid California drivers license as well as a satisfactory driving record. Must be willing to work out of doors and must be willing to work afternoons evenings and weekends. Current CPR and First Aid certificate is desirable.APPLICATION PROCESS

Tests may consist of any combination of written oral or other exercises or assessment procedures that test content and may include but are not necessarily limited to typing math reading writing and analytical skills; problem solving ability; computer and software proficiency or any other jobrelated knowledge skill ability or qualification.
