Lead and run our Junior School strings program

THE ROLE
At PLC over 700 students undertake instrumental tuition and participate in ensembles which include a full symphony orchestra wind bands string orchestras stage and jazz bands and pipes and drums. The Head of Junior Strings is responsible for leading and running the junior strings program and providing leadership support and guidance to other teaching staff within the Strings Team. The role will teach group and individual classes in our Junior School and take part in the Colleges cocurricular Music program.
ABOUT YOU
You are a music teaching and performance professional with relevant qualifications.
Youre confident in teaching beginner to advanced levels and are a passionate educator who will confidently guide develop and nurture our students love of learning.
You have a thorough understanding of the pedagogical principles of both music education and more specifically the playing and teaching of Strings.
Expertise in violin/viola will be well regarded.
