Lead IEs and support production to develop productivity proposals (rebalances OLOT reduction throughput improvements).
ResponsibilitiesWhat youll do...
- Lead ergonomics improvement and problemsolving through IE actions Lead workstation setup and optimization
- Implement engineering changes that affect the workstation and allocations.
- Supervise/coach IEs with time study schedules (e.g. MODAPTS) Interface with union/works council and Health and Safety to settle job disputes and ergonomic issues
- Lead headcount cost savings projects
- Supervise monthly tracking of progress in VPOS
- Lead cycle line layout
- Supervise planning for mix and line speed changes
- Lead/manage departmental rolls analysis for weekly manpower meetings to ensure proper labor staffing and strategy
- Lead future model labor development (design cycle line layouts future model allocations)
- Serve as the main resource for plant IE training/assistance
QualificationsYoull have...
- A bachelors degree in industrial engineering
- 8 or more years of experience in Industrial Engineering
- 4 or more years of manufacturing/assembly process experience
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve issues quickly through root cause analysis and drive change back to the production departments
- Validated skill set needed to have job placement flexibility and the expectation to rotate to various positions within the plant such as Production or Quality
- Must display strong customer orientation and commitment to upholding plant processes through strict adherence to the Quality Operating System
- Demonstrated success in achieving results while organizing and managing multiple priorities
- Proven willingness to take a participatory approach to union relations and be a team player
- Strong and confident technical mentor to the production organization (both hourly and salary) and within the IE organization
- A successful history of planning coordinating and executing work allocations/efficiencies within a specified timeframe
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Demonstrated skill with Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook)

- Kaizen/ continuous improvement process experience
- Tenure working in the automotive manufacturing space
