Partner Staffing is currently working with our client to find a Senior Estimator.The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of constructionmethods processes and management practices; excellent analytical andproblemsolving skills be organized efficient and responsive to the needs ofinternal and external alike.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and manageestimates required for sales preconstruction and bidding efforts
- Perform material andquantity takeoffs sourcing material and subcontractor quotes
- Provide estimatesbudget control and studies for projects and potential projects during businessdevelopment preconstruction and construction phases of a project and acrossall scopes systems and assemblies
- Ability to completefull quantity takeoffs to support accurate estimates for all disciplinesincluding commercial and midrise woodframe multifamily construction projectstogether with belowgrade parkade but not limited to architectural structuralmechanical electrical civil and landscaping disciplines
- Lead the subcontractorprocurement process
Requirements
- 5 years experience working in commercial and multifamily midrisewoodframe residential construction projects including belowgrade parkade
- Minimum 3 years estimating experience for commercial/residentialconstruction in a fastpaced environment
- BS degree in civil engineering or construction management
- Proficiency in estimating software Bluebeam and MS Project
- Excellent knowledge of the Alberta Building Codes
- Have exceptional technical communication skills which enable you tomanage projects with confidence and ease
