About the Role
The Project Officer Major Projects will play a key role in supporting community engagement and coordination efforts for negotiation of major infrastructure projects with a strong focus on the SunCable Project. Spanning from the Borroloola Barkly region to Darwin this role is all about building meaningful connections with local communities and stakeholders. Youll play a key role in supporting consultations ensuring voices are heard and considered throughout the project. In addition youll provide crucial logistical and administrative support to the Project Coordinator and team helping to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
What you will bring
You are adaptable proactive and comfortable traveling to remote communities for up to two weeks each month. With a strong understanding of Aboriginal communities in the NLC region you excel at crosscultural communication and building relationships with stakeholders. You have solid writing abilities attention to detail and basic financial literacy to manage budgets and handle sensitive information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management or the ability to learn quickly will also be key to your success in this role.
