Roles/Responsibilities: The IT Project Manager leads and manages IT projects. This role involves collaboration resource management risk mitigation ensuring timely within-budget and high-quality project completion. The ideal candidate should have technical expertise leadership skills and a strong understanding of project management methodologies.
Project Management services will include but are not limited to:
- Adherence to Project Management Institute standards including waterfall and agile methods
- Effective management of project scope schedule and budget
- Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule using
- Effective project risk management issues decisions and change control
- Document/deliverable tracking
- Status reports and/or presentations to County leadership as requested
- Customer and vendor engagement
- Additional project management services as defined by the IT PMO Manager.
Mandatory Skills:
- Project examples: County-Wide Phone System Replacement and other projects as assigned and funded.
- Candidates must be extremely thorough and detail oriented
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and workload independently and efficiently
- Excellent writing skills. Ability to express themselves effectively and accurately in writing; experience writing and communicating technical terms into non-technical language is preferred
- Project Management Professional preferred.
