At United we have some of the best aircraft in the world. Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians engineers planners ground equipment and facilities professionals and supply chain teams that help make sure theyre well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages the financial systems and overall planning functions that support (GSE) ground service equipment maintenance for a fleet of 40000 assets and facility maintenance operations including terminal campus and building maintenance operations in 30 locations
  • Manages field budget processes manpower planning standards and forecasts and productivity goals
  • Leads financial planning and management programs supporting business optimization and cost control
  • Manages and maintains manpower staffing plans processes and movement activities for GSE and Facility Maintenance
  • Manages and implements all manpower bids scheduling and realignment processes as required to maintain compliance with applicable collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and company regulations
  • Responsible for all manpower related reporting requirements
  • Directs the development and implementation of internal financial controls to safeguard company assets verifies accuracy and reliability of data ensures adherence to SOX regulations and promotes operation efficiency and adherence to management policy
  • Leads contract standards and system contract solutions for purchased services within the ground equipment and facility maintenance programs
  • Leads system facility based project requests FPRs for maintenance repair and upkeep
  • Manages divisional asset allocation needs and the replacement strategy that forecasts multiyear capital investments
  • Leads AFE processes in conjunction with division financial programs
  • Leads Service Level Agreement standards program to define optimum level of equipment in support of a safe and reliable operation
  • Provides solutions to divisional asset needs and supports the solutions through effective asset planning allocation and management programs
  • Ensures consistent analysis and reporting of performance data with an understanding of GSE and Facility Maintenance processes
  • Analyzes rollup data identifies trends and recognizes business opportunities engaging CI resources as appropriate for improvement

Whats needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Business management or related degree preferred
  • 24 years in a financial planning or analysis role
  • Strong visionary leadership planning and communication skills strong interpersonal skills organizational management defining accountability structure identifying improvement opportunities influencing and managing change
  • Successful candidate must be able to clear a criminal history check in order to obtain and retain credentials necessary for position
  • Specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA / TSA / Airport Authority / US Customs
  • Must be legally authorized to permanently work in the U.S
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • Bachelors degree in a technical field
  • 5 years experience in an airline maintenance and financial planning environment involving asset planning and management
  • Understanding the financial planning responsibilities in a maintenance organization supporting airline hub operation
