Job Description

COMPANY OVERVIEW: Mobis North America is a subsidiary of Hyundai Mobis Co. Ltd. the 6th largest Tier1 Automotive Supplier in the world. Mobis North America together with its Mobis Technical Center of North America division is the midwest center for Hyundai Mobis operations including 3 automotive parts plants the research and development center and the Global OE Sales Office. Mobis produces and supplies a wide variety of automotive components to customers including component modules (chassis cockpit and frontend module) core system ecofriendly and DASmechatronics. Mobis delivers the design development assembly and manufacturing of advanced engineering autonomous driving infotainment component modules battery system assemblies safety brake and steering systems lamp ICS/electronics and software development solutions to customers globally.


POSITION OVERVIEW: The Contracts Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of the contract lifecycle from initial drafting and negotiation through and renewal. In addition the Contracts Coordinator will support all functions of the General Counsels Office including legal research reports training compliance and administrative tasks. This role serves as a critical link between the General Counsel and procurement commercial sales finance HR and other business departments to ensure obligations are met and documented accurately. The Contracts Coordinator will be the second hire for the Legal Department and growth opportunities are projected over the next 3 to 5 years.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle including drafting review negotiation support maintenance and renewal
  • Maintain a centralized contract repository with proper documentation and filing systems
  • Track contract milestones deadlines and renewal dates to ensure compliance with terms
  • Identify potential risks in contract terms and escalate to appropriate stakeholders
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contractrelated inquiries
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and approvals
  • Process legal invoices and other businessrelated expenses for payment
  • Tracking and reporting on outside counsel activities and expenditures.
  • Assist in developing and standardizing contract templates and processes
  • Support in reviewing updating and drafting policies and procedures
  • Conduct legal research and support drafting legal memos and advisory opinions
  • Create executive reports concerning contracts policies training and legal matters
  • Communicating effectively with various stakeholders through inperson phone/video calls text and email.
  • Proofreading reviewing and drafting legal correspondence.
  • Independently reviewing nondisclosure and confidentiality agreements.
  • Providing administrative support to the General Counsel.
  • Scheduling and coordinating meetings.
  • Supporting the Legal Teams special projects and longterm initiatives.


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above tasks relating to the following area will be assigned as required.
  • Be a team player.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be reliable (with reliable mode of transportation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency with contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite Word Powerpoint Excel and Teams knowledge and skill are required
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Experience with legal terminology and contract principles
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work under deadline pressure


EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration Finance Legal Studies or related field
  • 23 years of experience in contract administration procurement or legal support
  • Paralegal certification or equivalent


DESIRED SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Experience with electronic signature platforms (Docusign)
  • Familiarity with some of the following areas of law: commercial contracts NDAs employment law labor law regulatory and compliance corporate and business law and international law.
  • Experience working in a law firm and inhouse legal setting
  • Knowledge of relevant automotive and manufacturing regulations
  • Familiarity with procurement processes
  • Project management experience


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations facilities.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

  • A typical work week is 45 hours/week.
  • Working hours for employees are flexible with a typical day starting 7am 9am MF.
  • Hybrid work schedule 3 days on site required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Office work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
