Job Description:
The ISU Athletics department has parttime job opportunities for nonstudent facilities and custodial assistant positions. We are looking for people that are reliable detail oriented and honest. Our facilities team provide essential services that support assigned buildings and events hosted by the Athletics Department to ensure a safe and clean environment for students staff and guests. This is a great side job with shifts available weekdays evenings and weekends.
These positions perform routine unskilled manual labor to assist in a temporary capacity (less than 780 hours per fiscal year). Candidates must be able to perform physical tasks and effectively interact with others in a customer service oriented role.
*Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Check and restock restrooms.
Assist with clean up tasks during events and restoring the buildin after events.
Assist custodians in the cleaning of facilities such as: wipe up spills; clean floors; empty trash bins or pick up debris; disinfect surfaces; clean glass surfaces; help maintain locker rooms bathrooms offices and common spaces; power wash; etc.
Assist with moving furniture or equipment.
General labor and related clean up tasks as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to lift and move furniture and equipment.
Ability to learn to perform a variety of unskilled tasks.
