The Marketing and Communications department are looking for a dynamic and creative Marketing Assistant to join our team. This role will support the Marketing and Communications Manager (MCM) in executing marketing strategies managing social media accounts and delivering engaging content to enhance brand visibility and grow our digital presence. This permanent position will be based at our Head Office in Port Elizabeth.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the MCM in planning and executing marketing campaigns events and promotions.
Coordinate logistics for grower events golf days sponsorships and other company activities.
Manage inventory of promotional materials and handouts ensuring timely restocking and distribution.
Develop schedule and publish engaging content across all social media platforms (e.g. Facebook Instagram LinkedIn).
Monitor and respond to comments messages and mentions to build community engagement.
Stay updated on social media trends and recommend innovative strategies to increase audience engagement.
Assist in creating marketing collateral including flyers brochures newsletters and digital advertisements.
Write edit and proofread content for blogs social media and website updates.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather content and ideas for campaigns and communications.
Maintain the marketing calendar and ensure deadlines are met.
Assisting MCM with internal communications events and tasks.
Responsible for the weekly monitoring reports compiled and sent to stakeholders.
Coordinate with external vendors.
Support the Marketing and Communications Manager with daytoday administrative tasks as required.
Education & Training
Bachelor s degree or diploma in Marketing Communications or a related field.
12 years of experience in a marketing or social media role (entrylevel candidates with strong portfolios will also be considered).
Proficiency in social media platforms and tools.
Knowledge of bulk mailing software like Mailchimp is advantageous.
Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
Creative thinker with excellent problemsolving skills.
Drivers license.
Education
Bachelor s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
