About Kintyre Lodge
Located in the vibrant regional city of Dubbo BaptistCare Kintyre Lodge is a welcoming homely aged care home offering 81 single bedrooms.
The Lodge which is located next toBaptistCare Kintyre Retirement Village offers 24hour care and support to residents catering to all needs and requirements including residential respite. The home also features a specialised Memory Care Wing for residents living withdementia or Alzheimers disease.
Our lifestyle team at Kintyre Lodge run a fun andstimulating leisure activities program which includes bingo exercise classes craftgames and outingswith the option for residents to participate as much or as little as they like.
All meals are cooked fresh onsite by our professional catering team with a variety of nutritionally balancedmenu options available each day.

About the role
BaptistCare Kintyre Lodge is seeking a Catering Assistant on a casual part time and full timebasisto present and deliver high quality nutritious meals to our residents. You will enjoy working in a large team who are committed and being able make a difference in the lives of residents.
Duties may include:
- Assistance in basic meal preparation and serving
- Making tea and coffee
- Assisting Chefs with food prep when required
- Working to achieve and maintain a high standard of cleanliness
- Checking and recording temperature of food
- Following all Food Safety Guidelines and HACCP program
- Assisting with deliveries of stock and stock rotation
About you
The successful applicant will be a team player who enjoys interacting with older people and has the right heart and drive to serve.
- Previous kitchen/servery experience in a similar role
- Understanding of work health and safety practices
- Ability to work unsupervised and take on physically demanding tasks
- Previous experience in aged care (desirable)
- Willingness to work as part of a busy friendly team
- Strong focus positive attitude and is well organised
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCares Christian identity and promote the organisations values through interactions at work
