About the role:
The Business Development Manager VPP is responsible for growing the sales pipeline of new energy opportunities and contracting customers for our C&I VPP (and other related products).
Working closely in particular with the VPP Lead other Energy Solutions team members and the broader Customer Growth team this position is critical to scaling up VPP for Hydro Group. This role will understand DER (preferably VPP) energy solutions and the energy industry.
Your key responsibilities include:
Engage existing C&I clients to grow sales pipeline of new energy opportunities
Ability to discuss and pitch VPP and other related energy products to C&I customers
Identify and engage new clients and convert the pipeline into new C&I clients
Develop robust industry partnerships and gotomarket channels
Create effective client engagement models and materials to accelerate the decarbonisation journey of clients
Create investmentready business cases for clients; negotiate and execute commercial offers
Identifies new areas and opportunities and works with internal stakeholders to translate this into delivered value.
Rigour in the development and review of business cases so that the right projects are being initiated that will deliver the greatest organisational impact andreturn.
