Job Description

Candidates must verify before applying that you meet the minimum requirements of the position.

Target salary range: $60k65k. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and process biweekly and semimonthly timesheets.
  • Process multistate payrolls in accordance with company policy and in compliance with federal state and local tax regulations and employment laws.
  • Prepare and process offcycle payrolls for adjustments and bonuses.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages overtime bonuses and deductions.
  • Initiate registrations in new tax jurisdictions.
  • Ensure timely submission of employee benefits premiums and other thirdparty payments.
  • Respond to payrollrelated inquiries from employees in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with HR regarding new hires terminations and any changes to employee compensation or benefits.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.
  • Maintain uptodate payroll records including personal employee information pay rates tax exemptions and benefits selections.
  • Assist with monthly quarterly and yearend activities to include payroll tax filings balance sheet reconciliations and W2 production.
  • Support audits and assist with providing necessary payroll documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Accounting Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in multistate multipay schedule payroll processing
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint Microsoft Excel and payroll software (e.g. ADP Workforce Now UKG Pro)
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with employees and resolve issues.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask while meeting strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in payroll (e.g. Certified Payroll Professional CPP) is a plus.
