Job Description

BBIS has an opening for a Learning Support Teacher and Inclusion Specialist (Primary School) (f/m/d) as part of a parental leave replacement

Fulltime: 30 teaching hours per week 40 working hours)
Start date: 1st. August 2025
Limited until the return of the position holder approx. 31st July 2026
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES
  • Working within the Student Support Services Department (SSS) the teacher is confident and able to effectively teach students with diagnosed learning challenges
  • Prepare and provide differentiated classroom resources and materials for students with diagnosed learning differences
  • Instruction may be provided in the regular classroom or in a specialized smallgroup pullout situation or on an individual basis
  • You will be expected to develop deliver and monitor interventions depending on need
  • Meet with members of staff on a regular basis to review students progress reevaluate academic decisions about a student formulate interventions needed devise instructional strategies
  • Compile and revise documentation of student files to provide information and illustrate students abilities
  • Maintain accurate records and reports regarding a students progress
  • Work alongside mainstream colleagues to advise and support an inclusive environment for all students
  • Coaching fellow teachers in differentiation practices
YOUR QUALIFICATION
  • Possess a recognized teaching qualification (QTS)
  • Certification in teaching Special Education preferably at Masters level
  • A minimum of 2years teaching experience preferably in an IB context (PYP)
  • Current indepth knowledge of language and literacy development for bilingual and multilingual learners and preferably trained in reading interventions such as Orton Gillingham
  • Excellent crosscultural interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams
  • A strong commitment to the safeguarding and wellbeing of all children and young people

Important: Before beginning the employment at BBIS the following documents must be submitted:
  • Proof of immunity against measles which must have been confirmed by a doctor if you were born after 1970. Alternatively a medical certificate of medical contraindication can be provided.
  • The original certificate of the highest obtained (university) degree
  • An extended certificate of conduct that must not be older than six months.
These documents are required to comply with legal and internal employment regulations.
