Civil Specialist

AECOM Canada is seeking a Civil Specialist for a casual position based in Calgary.

The Civil Specialist will be entrusted with the following critical responsibilities:

Function as an expert professional within specific domains of civil engineering.

• Develop and modify designs perform complex calculations and create detailed sketches diagrams schematic drawings and working drawings under general supervision.
• Independently formulate and evaluate alternative technical solutions and design options to support the project team including conducting comprehensive research performing rigorous code reviews and addressing a wide range of complex problems.
• Analyze and implement the findings from reports professional opinions and recommendations to effectively address design challenges and opportunities.
• Spearhead the development and of innovative design ideas and solutions.
• Assume responsibility for clear and effective communication and collaboration with the entire design team and client.
• Oversee and coordinate technical work for projects commensurate with experience level.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of professional services marketing strategies.
• Develop and lead the technical approach and criteria for design elements and coordinate intricate work processes.
• Ensure strict adherence to Quality Assurance Procedures.
• When required sign and seal official documents including drawings with full professional accountability.
• Collaborate closely with clients and both internal and external project teams to successfully execute projects from initial concept through to final completion.

   

Qualifications :

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelors degree with 4 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6 years of experience
