WHAT YOU WILL DO
onX is seeking a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager with a passion for the customer journey. As part of our Marketing Automation team your focus will be on conversion and engagement strategies for our Adventure Projects and Backcountry product platforms. This includes in native and web onboarding flows inapp messaging email and push notifications. It also includes optimization of web customer journeys on the Adventure Projects websites. By connecting with outdoor enthusiasts who use the onX apps every day youll be able to immediately see the impact of your work and help us advance our mission of inspiring others to find their own adventures off the beaten path. This position will report to the Head of Lifecycle & Marketing Automation.
As an onX Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager your essential job duties and responsibilities will look like:
- Own the endtoend management of product onboarding and trialtopurchase conversion including multichannel recommendations creation deployment testing optimization analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with product paid media brand business intelligence and engineering teams
- Develop a test workflow partnered with the Backcountry Product Manager that helps the teams understand and leverage what lifecycle components should be prioritized and integrated in the product vs maintained in 3rd party tooling (Braze).
- Act as a leader of midfunnel performance analysis and customer journeys.
- Generate customer insights through inapp behavior analysis
- Assist in crossmarketing efforts from onX product to product
- Consult as a subject matter expert in the channels of inapp messaging email and push messaging
- Develop and execute a longterm strategy that drives funnel growth for onX Backcountry while maintaining the existing community and its contribution. This will be in partnership with the Backcountry Product Manager.
- Prioritize and manage the Adventure Projects website backlog in partnership with the Product Manager.
WHAT YOULL BRING
- Seven 7 or more years of experience leading lifecycle email CRM and/or Engagement Marketing programs with a strong emphasis on designing and implementing automated processes to enhance customer engagement and campaign effectiveness
- Experience developing and managing A/B testing roadmaps across web/ios/android applications
- An understanding of how people use websites the information presented onsite and how that information significantly impacts what users experience
- A passion for understanding and improving customer journeys
- Demonstrable experience deriving and using customer behavior insights and data to understand the customer base (Amplitude Tableau Google Analytics etc.
- Ability to effectively partner with Product teams to develop programs by cohorts to improve personalization and create tailored messaging streams
- Ability to formulate creative hypothesisdriven tests and conduct them from ideation through to posthoc analysis
- Strong project management skills that include conceptualization driving alignment planning resources managing deadlines and objectives and delivering analysis and recommendations

- Must be available for travel to a corporate office in Montana biannually

- Familiarity with HTML/CSS3/Javascript
- Passion for the outdoors; understanding of the outdoor industry is preferred
WHERE YOU CAN WORK
onX has created a thriving distributed workforce community across several US locations. This position can be performed from an onX corporate office Basecamp or Connection Hub.
- Corporate Offices: onX was founded in Montana with offices in Missoula and Bozeman. If you prefer to work in an office at least part of the time this is a great option.
- Basecamps: onXs Basecamps are established virtual workforce communities where a sizable number of distributed team members group for work volunteering socializing and adventure.
- Our current Basecamps are located within a 90mile radius of the following: Austin TX; Denver CO; Kalispell MT; Minneapolis MN; Portland OR; Salt Lake City UT; and Seattle WA.
- Connection Hubs: onXs Connection Hub locations are smaller emerging communities of distributed team members.
- Our current Connection Hubs are located within a 60mile radius of the following: Boise ID; Charleston SC; Charlotte NC; Dallas/Fort Worth TX; Phoenix AZ; Richmond VA; Spokane WA; the Bay Area of California and Vermont.
HOW YOULL BE COMPENSATED
onX is committed to compensating all employees fairly and equitably for their contributions. For this position applicants can expect to make between $105000 to $130000 upon hire. The pay range will vary based on experience skills certifications and education among other factors as required in the job description. In addition fulltime onX employees are eligible for a grant of common share options with a vesting schedule and a potential annual bonus of 10 based on company performance.
