About the Role
This position leads and facilitates plant wide MAFACT lean manufacturing strategy and implementation. Responsible for analyzing developing implementing changes in product design manufacturing methods and process improvements. Reviews the organizations internal manufacturing processes to ensure maximum efficiencies are achieved.
Your Responsibilities
- Create and oversee the implementation of short and longterm projects and strategies that increase efficiency reduce greenhouse gas emissions and minimize unnecessary consumption.
- Leads the evolution of Lean culture and provides mentorship to the Operations team with respect to lean initiatives CIs and problem solving.
- Liaise with Corporate experts to lead the improvement of MAFACT Assessment scores through auditing and coaching leads/participating in creating improvement opportunities.
- Drives and tracks CI Projects with cross functional team support and provides status updates to the senior leadership team.
- Prepare RFQ for all new projects.
- Research regulatory compliance requirements that impact operations and present energyrelated recommendations to management teams.
- Prepare analytical reports and read outs summarizing energy usage and savings through Magnas Energy Portals.
- Follow and comply with all Operational Procedures and Policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook Quality and Environment programs (i.e. IATF16949 ISO14001.
Who we are looking for
- Engineering Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Electrical or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience required in energy project management or industrial facilities management
- Experience analyzing energy operational data such as electricity gas water and able to draw conclusions leading to improvement opportunities
- Working knowledge of Core Tools concepts (APQP Problem Solving PPAP MSA etc.
