The Faculty of Science Medicine and Health (SMAH) comprises of the Schools of Science; Medical Indigenous and Health Sciences; Nursing; and the Graduate School of Medicine. The Palliative Care Outcomes Collaboration (PCOC) is a national quality initiative that drives improvements in palliative care across Australia. We are seeking a Quality and Innovation Manager to lead and innovate within our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence realworld healthcare outcomes through research datadriven improvement strategies and stakeholder engagement.

About the role

As the Quality and Innovation Manager you will provide national leadership in advancing PCOCs quality improvement strategies. Reporting to the Director of PCOC you will:

  • Lead and innovate: Drive quality improvement and implementation of evidencebased practices in palliative care services.
  • Engage stakeholders: Build strong relationships with healthcare providers policymakers and research partners.
  • Contribute to quality improvement: Collaborate with our data IT and education teams to enhance improvement efforts and patient outcomes.
  • Oversee a national improvement facilitation team: Lead and support a national team of PCOC Improvement Facilitators working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to research: Support conference presentations publications and strategic program development.

About You

We are looking for an experienced healthcare leader with:

  • A relevant qualification and / or equivalent professional experience in health research or quality improvement.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of health service delivery
  • Experience in datadriven quality improvement and the ability to interpret and apply clinical benchmarking.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with previous stakeholder engagement.
  • Previous experience working in palliative care and familiarity with PCOC reports and data (desirable).
