We are seeking a Customer Service Manager (APAC) for our client a startup in the design & engineering space expanding into Singapore. This position supports the Senior Strategic Business Development Manager and Account Managers across the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions playing a key role in launching and growing operations in Singapore. The primary focus is on customer service with flexibility to take on a variety of tasks during the startup phase.
Responsibilities:
- Fully comply with safety standards and procedures
- Collaborate with Account Managers to prepare and deliver sales quotes
- Enter and manage incoming inquiries in the sales system
- Provide quotes using product knowledge
- Meet or exceed targeted sales for the Service Center
- Support accounts receivable by helping open new accounts and following up on outstanding payments
- Keep account details current by working closely with Account Managers and Service Center leaders
- Track and expedite delivery commitments as needed
- Manage customer inventory to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Make proactive calls to potential and current customers to generate and grow sales
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships inside and outside the company
- Offer product and servicerelated support to internal teams and clients
- Assist with packaging and shipping during the initial growth phase until dedicated staff are hired
- Perform other duties as required by management
Requirements:
- Diploma or equivalent education required; degree preferred (especially in Engineering)
- 510 years of industrial sales/customer service experience
- Team player with strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work well in a fastpaced startup environment
- Professional demeanor with customers and colleagues
- Selfmotivated with good organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Solid math skills for basic and advanced calculations (including fractions and decimals)
- Computer literacy in MS Word Excel email and internet use
- Ability to quickly learn and use company systems
