What will you do
A day in the life of a Director Supply Planning at Dickies looks a little like this.
As an integral part of the Supply Chain & Brand Teams the Director of Supply Planning Dickies leads both the Regional Supply Planning (Americas) and Global Supply Planning Teams. At its core this role leads the purchasing of supply both regionally and globally to deliver ontime to our customers and consumers and to achieve VF objectives. This involves elements of preseason planning inseason postseason hind sighting and participating in various strategic efforts to enable a more effective & efficient future all while overcoming various obstacles. This role will closely partner with several functional groups & leaders such as Multi Channel Operations (including Demand Planning & Inventory) Distribution Logistics Customer Service Americas Center of Excellence Product Supply Planning and Other Regional Supply Planning Teams (EMEA & APAC). Reporting to the VP of Americas Supply Planning & Emerging Brand Operations this role will also help drive progress for the Americas Platform via best practice sharing / adoption driving or participating in various key initiatives and growing and developing talent.

Lead the Global Supply Planning (GSP) Function which coordinates the global efforts to buy collectively and overcome various obstacles that might prove as a hinderance to delivering ontime and achieving business objectives (such as capacity constraints vendor minimums buy ready issues data concerns calendar timing etc.. Via this team drive strategy and of global / crossfunctional approach across time horizons to achieve desired business outcomes.
Lead the Americas Regional Supply Planning (RSP) Function to appropriately procure supply to meet the various demand needs across channels and countries in region.
For AMER RSP continuously evaluate the service picture and take actions both proactively and reactively to improve and achieve targets.
For AMER RSP recommend and activate inventory shifts as a piece of achieving inventory quarterend targets.
Drive and / or participate in key projects to implement improved capabilities processes and efficiencies.
Partner with Product Supply Planning (PSP) Leadership to identify opportunities and overcome challenges.
Partner with MCO Leadership & Functional Leaders (Demand & Inventory) to drive the receipt of a clear & timely Demand Handover to enable a successful supply planning process. Evaluate demand signals and challenge / influence as appropriate.
Partner with PSP to understand capacity picture lead times etc. as key inputs into the Supply Planning Process. Evaluate inputs and challenge / influence as appropriate.
Drive and deliver an effective Supply Handover to PSP (in partnership between PSP & RSPs) that clearly articulates how the supply needs are evolving over time and why.
Develop and implement strategies to drive a more effective & agile supply procurement process where it drives value. Examples of this include quick turn and direct ship.
Develop documentation that is refreshed periodically ensuring clarity of roles and processes.
Recommend air freight opportunities for MCO approval to drive service where appropriate.
Continuously look for opportunities both upstream and downstream where we can be more effective overall in delivering supply against VF and brand objectives. Partner with key stakeholders to challenge as appropriate and drive progress.
Participate in brand S&OP or IBP Process to identify opportunities and action against them.
Partner with PSP Logistics & Customer Service to prioritize supply as needed to meet service objectives.
Focus on growing developing and retaining talent.
Partner with Americas Supply Planning & Emerging Brand Ops Leaders to drive and deliver key initiatives and work towards platform harmonization.
Prioritize value driving opportunities with the Americas Center of Excellence and help work to deliver.
Track and deliver against annual department budget.
What do you need to succeed
We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role there are foundation skills youll need to succeed and excel. Additionally while formal education in a related field is great to have we are most interested in your 8 years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
Bachelors degree or equivalent from fouryear college or university (preferred concentration in Supply Chain Engineering Mathematics or Business).
8 years of relevant progressive experience with 3 years of managerial experience
Substantial expertise in practical issues of supply planning inbuilding coachingand managing high performing supply planning teams.
Solid understanding of supply chain technology including end to end planning systems.
Strong analytical organization and communication skills (oral and written).
Experience in business process reengineering and program / project management.
Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships and develop a collaborative working relationship acrossdivergentaudiences both internal and external as well as a widespectrum of leadership levels.
Ability toreconcile multiple stakeholder views requiringrespect and awarenessin managinga diverse group of individualstolead change and inspire work toward a common goal.
Ability to determine best practices implement them and document accordingly.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks/projects priorities and deadlines.
Proven ability to leverage technology and systems to drive efficient and effective reporting and processes.
Ability to lead teams in multiple locations.
Advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables macros). Experience in other analytical tools a plus.
Location Requirement: this role is hybrid a minimum of 3 days in the office at our Costa Mesa Headquarters.
There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.
Masters degree preferred.
Multibrand global or alternate industry experience preferred.

Hiring Range:
$151200.00 USD $189000.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan sales incentive orcommissionpotential.
