With 120 inpatient Surgical and Medical beds a rehabilitation gym 7 operating theatres 2 procedure rooms a day oncology unit and an ICU Sunnybank Private Hospital has been providing care to our local community for over 40 years and continually embraces the highest quality of holistic patient care.
As the CSSD Manager your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing a high standard of evidence based Sterilization services to the operating theatre and other clinical departments within the hospital
As the CSSD Manager you will adhere to Australian College of Operating Room Nurses (ACORN) standards and plan assess implement and evaluate the cleaning sterilization and packing of hospital instruments and abide by the governing sterilisation standards; AS 5369 (formerly AS/NZ 4187.
Provide clinical leadership providing direction support supervision teaching and specific clinical specialty direction for CSSD Technicians.
Essential Criteria:
Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation Services
Minimum 3 5 years experience working in a senior role within a CSSD minimum 2 years in leadership/management position preferred
Sound knowledge of accreditation standards ACHS/AS 5369 Standards and HICMR
Demonstrated ability to show leadership and the ability to work with a wide range of people in a team environment
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
Intermediate computer literacy skills including MS office and various data bases
An interest in promoting best practice patient care
