Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:
o Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract qualified faculty administrative staff and support personnel.
o Oversee the hiring process including job postings interviews background checks and on boarding.
o Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and ensure timely hiring.
2. Employee Relations:
o Act as a liaison between employees and management to address workplace concerns and foster a positive work environment.
o Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.
o Manage conflict resolution and disciplinary actions in compliance with institutional policies.
3. Performance Management:
o Implement and oversee performance evaluation processes for faculty and staff.
o Provide guidance to managers and employees on goal setting feedback and professional development.
4. Policy Development and Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with labour laws institutional policies and accreditation standards.
o Develop update and communicate HR policies and procedures.
o Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive employee data in accordance with regulations.
5. Training and Development:
o Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs for faculty and staff.
o Organize workshops seminars and orientations to align with institutional goals.
6. Compensation and Benefits Administration:
o Oversee payroll benefits and other employee compensation programs.
o Conduct periodic reviews of compensation structures to ensure competitiveness in the higher education sector.
7. Workforce Planning:
o Analyze staffing patterns and trends to make informed decisions about workforce planning.
o Assist in succession planning and the development of career progression frameworks.
8. HR Analytics and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate employee records and generate reports on HR metrics such as turnover diversity and employee satisfaction.
o Use data insights to inform strategic HR decisions and initiatives.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management or a similar role.
Experience in the education sector (preferred but not mandatory).
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of compliance and HR best practices.
Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication leadership and interpersonal skills.
Strong problemsolving abilities and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to handle recruitment employee relations and performance management effectively.
Experience in training and development programs.
High level of confidentiality professionalism and integrity.
Other Requirements:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills
The HR Manager should be flexible to work from both our campus in ECR Muttukadu and the Admission Office in Nungambakkam based on operational requirements.
