Job Description

The Director of Fleet and Procurement will play a crucial role in driving the strategic direction and optimization of the organizations fleet and procurement functions across North America. This role is responsible for establishing and promoting best practices ensuring alignment with corporate standards and fostering collaboration between area fleet and procurement teams. The Director will focus on driving efficiency cost savings and operational excellence while managing key relationships with internal departments external vendors and stakeholders including overseeing major contracts and optimizing fleet utilization.



Key Accountabilities

  • Fleet and Procurement Strategy: Lead enterprisewide initiatives to enhance fleet utilization maximize ROI and optimize the asset life cycle. Provide expert guidance on key decisions such as lease vs. buy and repair/maintenance costs while developing procurement strategies that drive sourcing efficiencies and supply chain improvements.
  • Vendor Management & Contract Negotiation: Oversee vendor assessments consolidate supplier relationships and negotiate key contracts to leverage purchasing power reduce costs and enhance supplier performance. Serve as the primary liaison with vendors managed through the parent company (e.g. fuel tires) to ensure seamless service and compliance with the transitional services agreement.
  • Cost Optimization & Risk Mitigation: Spearhead initiatives to identify opportunities for cost savings and process optimization in both fleet management and procurement. Proactively assess and mitigate potential risks within the fleet and procurement operations ensuring longterm financial and operational sustainability.
  • Standardization of Practices: Establish implement and monitor standardized processes and practices across fleet and procurement teams to ensure consistency compliance and operational efficiency across regions.
  • KPI Development & Performance Tracking: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on fleet performance including ROI cost per mile and utilization metrics. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to produce regular reports on procurement performance and overall fleet management effectiveness.
  • CrossFunctional Leadership: Work collaboratively with regional fleet and procurement teams to align their activities with corporate goals and drive strategic initiatives. Use influence to guide teams in adopting best practices and ensuring a consistent approach to procurement and fleet management across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management procurement or a similar role with a proven track record of leading highlevel strategic initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and influencing abilities with experience in guiding crossfunctional teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills with a deep understanding of fleet optimization and procurement efficiency.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams vendors and corporate leadership.
  • Expertise in managing large vendor contracts and driving costsaving strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data identify trends and make datadriven decisions that inform strategy and operations.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working with largescale multiregional fleets and procurement operations.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management principles and best practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
