Job Title: Senior Sales Engineer (Automation Equipment/OEM Sales)
Location: Ikeja Lagos
Work Type: Onsite/Hybrid


About Company: Our client is a leading international packaging and engineering company in over 10 countries.


Job Summary: The company is looking to hire a Senior Technical Sales Engineer who will be responsible for expanding the company s customer base and contributing to business growth in the industrial automation industry.


The ideal candidate for this role must be a dedicated and customercentric individual with a proven track record of building strong client relationships who can effectively promote and sell production lines coding solutions and machine automation solutions to a diverse range of customers within the FMCG Construction Manufacturing and Production sectors including OEMs.


Key Responsibilities:


The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Identifying and targeting potential customers within Nigeria in the FMCG Manufacturing industry.
  • Actively seeking prospective new clients through various channels including cold calls emails and networking. Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Conducting product presentations and demonstrations to showcase date coding and line engineering solutions tailored to prospective clients.
  • Addressing customer enquiries concerns and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure. Negotiate terms and conditions to secure sales agreements.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals and quotations. Continuously track and report on sales progress.
  • Meet and exceed the sales targets and quotas set by the Sales Director. Provide feedback on market developments to the Sales Director.
  • Stay updated on the company s partners products services industry trends competitors and market conditions.
  • Communicate product features attributes and benefits effectively to customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of customers interactions sales activities and opportunities in the company s CRM software.
  • Prepare weekly sales reports and forecasts.



Requirements

  • Degree in Business administration Marketing or a related field will be advantageous.
  • Proven experience in sales management preferably at least 5 to 7 years in industrial equipment and/or packaging manufacturing.
  • Must have knowledge of sales in the FMCG/Food & Beverage Sector.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Selfmotivated and resultsoriented with a competitive spirit.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of coding and marking solutions (MarkemImaje or similar) or industrial equipment is a plus.
  • Must be resultsoriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • An existing customer base will be advantageous.
  • Ability to travel within Nigeria as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events.
