Job Description
- Develop and execute business development strategies to establish the company as the leading B2B payments FX and treasury management provider for the Oil & Gas industry.
- Identify and secure partnerships with Oil & Gas companies energy traders refineries and service providers across key markets in Africa.
- Understand the complex payment flows treasury operations and FX needs specific to the Oil & Gas value chain.
- Design tailored solutions addressing industryspecific challenges like commodity trading settlements contractor payments and multicurrency treasury management
- Build relationships with Csuite executives and finance leaders in the Oil & Gas sector
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements that align with the unique operational requirements of Oil & Gas businesses
- Monitor industry trends commodity price fluctuations and geopolitical factors affecting the financial operations of Oil & Gas companies
- Coordinate with product and engineering teams to enhance our solutions for Oil & Gasspecific use cases
- Represent company at industry events conferences and forums related to Oil & Gas and energy finance
- Stay informed about regulatory developments affecting crossborder financial operations in the Oil & Gas industry
- Bachelors degree in Business Petroleum Engineering Energy Economics or related field;
- 8 years of experience in business development with at least 35 years specifically working with Oil & Gas companies or energy trading firms
- Deep understanding of Oil & Gas industry operations payment flows treasury challenges and financial processes
- Expertise in B2B payment solutions FX management and corporate treasury operations
- Proven track record of establishing and growing strategic partnerships with Oil & Gas businesses
- Strong relationships with immediately readytoonboard Oil & Gas companies energy traders or service providers in the sector
- Experience navigating the complex regulatory environment affecting financial transactions in the Oil & Gas industry
- Thorough knowledge of international payment systems FX risk management and liquidity optimization for resourceintensive businesses
- Understanding of blockchain technology and its applications in B2B payments and trade finance (preferred)
- Familiarity with industryspecific compliance requirements including sanctions screening anticorruption laws and crossborder transfer regulations
- Outstanding negotiation communication and relationshipbuilding abilities
- Datadriven approach to identifying opportunities and measuring business development success
