Job Description
What you get to do in this role:
We are looking for a Sr. DevOps Engineer with a proven track record of collaborating across various teams to deliver a quality welltuned system that performs and scales at peak load. In this role you will be working with key members of our Performance Tools Operations teams System Administrators and Network Engineers to meet the growing needs of our largest customers.
The ideal candidate for this position is a software engineer with a strong background in DevOps and Configuration Management web and network infrastructure architecture and protocol build and deployment process change management and release management. The candidate must have a passion for building automating and deploying scalable solutions.
- You will also enable peers in engineering customer support and cloud teams to leverage our solutions and related services.
Qualifications :
Qualifications
In order to be successful in this role we need someone who has:
3 years of experience in DevOps specific activities viz. build & deploy system
Change management and release management
Experience with large scale webbased applications and Linux production environment running MySQL and/or Postgresql
Ability to work with development teams to develop test deploy and report on product performance quality security and stability
Proven Linux skills: including system administration script development file system management searching/finding files
Desire to seek continuous improvement in the quality assurance processes to drive better quality and efficiency
Solid understanding of job control and direct experience with scripting and text processing (e.g. awk sed grep python)
Strongly Desired (More is Better):
Deep knowledge and experience with the CentOS/RedHat operating system in largescale production environments
Background with test and server monitoring tools (e.g. Jenkins Splunk Grafana)
Solid background with agile software development methodologies (e.g. scrum)
Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform including development of customizations beyond outofbox
Experience with concurrency multithreading and the deployment of distributed system architectures
