The Assistant Professor Hospitality will be responsible for delivering highquality instruction and contributing to the effective management of the Hospitality & Hotel Management department. This role involves teaching core and elective courses utilising modern teaching methods and actively participating in departmental administration and student guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching of both core and elective courses in the subjects of Hospitality & Hotel Management and Specifically Accommodation Operations.
- Making the teaching more effective and interesting to the students by the use of multimedia or the latest digital platforms teaching aids.
- To take full responsibility of the hospitality & hotel management department in terms of teaching and the administration activities. Take roles in guiding the students and implement innovative ideas for the department in a progressive way.
- The faculty member is required to plan and make complete preparation well in advance to teach the theory effectively and practical courses.
- He/she should prepare the schedule of lectures with topics tests assignments demonstrations screening of video or powerpoint presentation etc. in advance and the students should be informed of the same.
- He/She is also required to provide his/her full support in organizing various events and programs on the campus.
- Academic experiences with culturally diverse populations are sought. To utilize and implement the health safety and other precautionary measures in the organization with previous industry experience.
- Candidates should have a commitment to work in a dynamic work setting with a diverse student population.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Firstclass Master s Degree in a relevant discipline OR Minimum 55 Marks at Master s Degree in Hospitality and Hotel Administration/Travel and Tourism Management.
- Computer Proficiency:
- Accustomed with Microsoft Office (preferably advanced level).
- Familiarity working with G Suite Applications.
