The position holder will be main contact partner for all issues related to Price and Market Access related topics across all East Region (ER) markets: Czech Republic Slovakia Romania Bulgaria Hungary and Poland. This position will be based in one of these countries.
The main purpose of this role is to develop and implement strategies and activities that enable Santen to secure optimal national reimbursement at optimal prices for our current and future products in ER.
The holder will be a member both of the ER Leadership Team and of the ER CFT team and will work closely on with Custer Heads and Country Managers. The holder will be as well member of the EMEA Pricing and Market Access team as a peer of the other local Market Access Managers across Europe. This position will report with solid line to the VP ER and dotted line into EMEA Market Access Team.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Responsible for national and local Market Access landscape assessment (pricing reimbursement access stakeholder mapping etc. to identify local Market Access changes / trends which will influence access. Analyze their implications for Santen and identify the Market Access needs on an ongoing basis to ensure the alignment of business plans.
- Help create and maintain a strategic market access plan for Santen both pre and postlaunch products by integrating the EMEA Market Access and Pricing Strategy in a coherent and actionable manner.
- Input during development of Business cases related to new launches or discontinuations
- Input during budget preparation and forecast exercises (i.e. price and Reimbursement considerations and Market Access investments).
- Support or Lead the HTA submission and authority consultations on behalf of the P&MA team to articulate value and policy positions.
- Support in design preparation and tender relevant submissions to public formularies at local and/or hospital level ensuring appropriate access for Santen products with public payers.
- Build and manage relationships with the institutions (e.g. HTA bodies payer organizations payer advising KOLs) both at national and local level in order to establish and consolidate profitable partnerships for all involved parties.
- Monitor and update of pricing strategy and governance / policy to maintain pricing on local level to ensure consistency on EMEA level for Santens products.
- Management of prices of Santens products under the guidance and in close collaboration with the central EMEA Market Access team (i.e. central pricing database update and maintenance reporting training).
- Management of regional (ER) and local Pricing related processes in collaboration with different stakeholders Country Manager Cluster Head VP Finance organization (i.e. initiate formal price approval process).
- Support of Business development and Strategic portfolio management activities with price and reimbursement potential analyses to support the central EMEA Market Access team.
- Liaise constantly with CMs Surgical Partners and Marketing function to ensure alignment of goals and strategies.
- Participating in the selection of the External Service Providers and Consultants.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in healthcare / life science industry at national level.
- Knowledge of pricing mechanisms and regulations in ER. Deep knowledge and experience with Price and Reimbursement related stakeholders.
- Fluent English plus minimum of one local language: Polish/ Czech/ Slovak/ Hungarian/ Bulgarian/ Romanian.
- Master degree in healthcare science or businessrelated discipline.
- Ability to manage a large number of external relationships. Understanding of P&MA stakeholders interests way of thinking and decision making.
- Ability to work crossfunctionally as one team navigate large complex organizations and manage a high number of senior internal customers.
- Ability to understand and clearly communicate complex and technical topics simply and succinctly. Structured way of working.
- Availability to travel 30 of time and driving license.
