BODILY INJURY/CASUALTY ADJUSTER
LOCATION: ONTARIO
REFERENCE: JOB# 71132

Opportunity:

Our client a wellestablished Insurance Carrier in Canada; They are looking to add an experienced Bodily Injury/Casualty Insurance Adjuster. This position does offer a hybrid work environment.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Investigating evaluating and resolving large/complex property losses including losses of a suspicious nature from start to finish including settlement negotiations and first party litigation.
  • Confirming policy coverage by ensuring the facts of the claim fall within the scope of our claims policies.
  • Maintaining detailed file records by entering pertinent data into the appropriate systems
  • Involving appropriate vendors within guidelines.
  • Liaising with and involving SIU and SDQP team when necessary
  • Processing claims payments within the level of authority after verifying claimants entitlement.
  • Identifying all Subrogation and Salvage opportunities.
  • Training junior adjusters as requested from time to time during course of investigations.
  • Handling other claims assignments/projects as required
  • Settle claims directly with Plaintiffs Counsel.
  • Direct and Instruct Defence Counsel.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 4 years of technical experience in adjusting insurance claims
  • Experience handling liability property claims and/or bodily injury claims is an asset
  • CIP designation or working towards is required
  • Licensed in multiple provinces is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be a team player with a strong commitment to quality and customerservice
