Job Description
JOB OBJECTIVE:
Oversee all aspects of facilities management including maintenance housekeeping laundry grounds and landscaping capital projects and construction and fleet vehicles. Work with other members of the leadership team to develop Saint Johns vision and goals operationalizing strategy to promote our culture while complying with all local State and Federal regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Oversee the functions of maintenance (including grounds and landscaping) and housekeeping (including laundry) and facilities communication.
- Lead and mentor the managers of maintenance and housekeeping.
- Develop and operationalize policy and procedure revising as needed.
- Hire direct support coach counsel and evaluate performance.
- Develop and implement efficient systems.
- Ensure functionality comfort safety and efficiency of the built environment throughout campus.
- Serve the organization as a member of the Leadership team collaborating with other leaders to promote crossdepartmental partnership stewardship of resources and excellence in the provision of services.
- Direct quality assurance efforts and ensure implementation of process improvements as appropriate.
- Coordinate repairs upgrades and renovations as necessary
- Negotiate contracts and manager relationships with vendors and contractors for building services.
- Responds directly and timely to residents requests and inquiries as appropriate.
- Represent Saint Johns with all constituents by promoting our culture vision and values.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
- Requires ten years of facilities management experience including five years in a leadership role.
- Knowledge of federal and state Life Safety regulations for Skilled Nursing Facilities.
- Knowledge of state and local building codes.
- Designation as an engineer architect or certification in a trade is desirable.
- Must demonstrate:
- Experience leading process improvement
- A track record of customer satisfaction
- A desire to coach and mentor team members
- Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
- Articulate clear and concise verbal and written communication
