Job Description

Job Title: Sr. Project Manager Insurance Industry

Location: Urbandale IA

Experience Level: MidSenior Experience Required: 5 Years

Job Function: Project Management Industry: Insurance

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Project Lead the Sr. Project Manager is responsible for managing and supporting multiple work streams within a program ensuring successful and alignment with the overall business strategy. The role requires managing direct and indirect resources across geographically dispersed locations while effectively communicating with senior stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting experience in delivering major projects and expertise in change management. This position requires a selfmotivated professional who can drive objectives to completion with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support project work streams within a broader program.
  • Communicate key project activities and milestones to stakeholders.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Develop and utilize project documentation including toolkits and schedules.
  • Escalate risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Present project updates and reports to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to project controls compliance and change management.
  • Identify and resolve issues while managing deliverables and risks.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or advanced degree (MBA Masters) in Economics Finance or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting with at least 23 years in Project Management roles.
  • Experience managing teams and leading projects.

MustHave Skills:

  • Strong project management skills with a track record of success.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience leading crossfunctional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong problemsolving and risk mitigation skills.

NicetoHave Skills:

  • PMP Certification (preferred but not required).
  • Experience in largescale transformation projects.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in insurance.
