Job Description

Our client is a fastpaced energetic company specializing in commercial industrial and lighting controls. They pride themselves on a work hard play hard team philosophy and a familylike atmosphere setting themselves apart through passion expertise and exceptional customer service. With recent growth and a move into a stateoftheart facility they are looking to add a Distribution/Contractor Outside Sales Representative to their team.

This role focuses on driving sales growth within the Seattle Distribution Channel developing relationships with distributors and contractors and ensuring successful product placement in stock and on projects. The ideal candidate is a strategic sales professional with a deep understanding of industry trends new technologies and electrical codes as well as strong customer service and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with distribution and contractor customers.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to drive sales growth and market expansion.
  • Promote manufacturer loyalty and ensure customers have access to topquality products.
  • Stay informed about industry trends new lighting technologies and electrical codes.
  • Work with distributors and contractors to place products in stock and secure project sales.
  • Provide exceptional service and technical support ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including technical support quotes controls and project management.
  • Travel 1030% of the time to attend factory training sessions often with customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • 5 years of proven sales experience preferably in lighting electrical or related industries.
  • Ability to understand industryspecific terminology and read communications from vendors manufacturers and customers.
  • Strong problemsolving communication and relationshipbuilding skills.
  • Existing book of business and industry connections strongly preferred (higher earning potential for candidates with a strong network).
