Job Brief

We are seeking a talented Backend Engineer experienced with large data applications to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Backend Engineer you will play a crucial role in designing developing and maintaining the backend systems that power our applications and data pipelines. As we are dealing with millions of rows of client data expertise in data engineering will be essential in ensuring our data architecture is robust scalable and efficient.

Tasks

Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain serverside applications and APIs
• Implement and optimize database schemas and queries for performance and scalability
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate userfacing elements with serverside logic
• Build and improve the infrastructure required for optimal extraction transformation and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS technologies
• Assemble large complex data sets that meet functional / nonfunctional requirements
• Identify design and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes optimizing data delivery redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability etc.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
• 6 years of experience as a Backend Engineer with Data Engineering background
• Proficiency in backend programming languages (e.g. Python Node.js)
• Proficiency in database technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL DBT Airflow)
• Strong understanding of data structures algorithms and software design principles
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
