Job Description

A pioneering startup that invests in and operates a diverse house of game studios specifically focusing on revenuegenerating casual mobile game studios in emerging markets.

Role: Game Designer
Location
: Bangalore Work Mode: In Office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own game features from concept through to live operations focusing on retention engagement monetization and growth to align with the product goals.
  • Regularly analyze and iterate on existing game features based on player feedback and ingame behavior data.
  • Keep up with competitors and industry developments.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers product managers artists and other designers to create a compelling cohesive gaming experience.
  • Work with artists to develop UI/UX designs and art assets that enhance player interaction and game aesthetics.
  • Produce and update game guides game design documents and player journeys.

Requirements:

  • 3 years of expertise in designing game levels
  • Demonstrated experience in designing balancing and maintaining game systems with a focus on casual puzzle match3 and word game genres.
  • Proven ability to create clear and effective wireframes and logical flow diagrams to illustrate game mechanics and feature interactions.
  • Strong aptitude for analysis and problemsolving
  • Selfdriven individual with a strong sense of responsibility for their work.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills capable of both conveying design concepts effectively and collaborating across diverse teams.
  • A solid portfolio of design documents and game prototypes.
  • Strong familiarity with design techniques and current understanding of markets player incentives and casual puzzle or merging audiences.

Good to have:

  • Proficiency in using design and prototyping tools such as Figma to create UI flows and prototypes.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and the ability to work closely with artists to realize visual design elements.
  • Ability to interpret game metrics and player data to inform feature development and game design decisions.
